Here is an announcement of The Tattered Bookstore's grand opening activities in July 2006 which included a presentation by Henry Lowenstein, former producer of the Bonfils Theatre. Henry gave owner Joyce Meskis his blessings for the location of her bookstore. "I'm happy to see it used," said Lowenstein. Joyce Meskis sold her bookstore in 2015.
