Built in 1908 - The Denver Auditorium (first known as the Denver Municipal Auditorium) located at 13th and Champa Streets, was the site of the Democratic National Convention in 1908. At the time, the building was the 2nd largest venue in the U.S. next to Madison Square Garden in NYC. In 2005, the Auditorium was renovated and it became the Ellie Caulkins Opera House where it continues today as a showcase theatre venue for opera, plays, and concerts.
